ACTIVITIES:
Since inception SNEHA has focused on service delivery and has taken up several initiatives to serve the rural communities. The following are the activities taken up during the past Three years:

Sexual Health Project:
The programme has been taken up to aware the urban slum communities on sexual health aspects where the risk behavior is quite high. The following are the activities being taken up as a part of the programme:

• Behavior Change Communication,
• Quality STD/STI care, and Counseling

Community and Home based Care and Support for PLHAs

Short Stay Home for Women and Girls
• The women those who are Sexually assaulted and harassed
• Those who are forced in to prostitution

• Victims of mental mal adjustments, emotional disturbances
• Those who escaped from there homes due to family problems.

Skill Development Programs:
• Providing skill development in Type writing and short hand to SC youth through a center with the support of Ministry of Social Justice and empowerment.
• Providing skill development in computers to women through a center
• Facilitating the job placements as post training activity

Awareness Generation Programs:
• Awareness generation on eradication of child labor
• Awareness generation on ecological and environment development

• Plantation in road side and fruit bearing trees at back yards of poor families

Thus SNEHA had done quite a lot good work at micro level in a very unique fashion and the work is guided by certain important principles like sustainability of the development process, people participation and local initiatives, self-reliance and self-determination. SNEHA’s work can be understood more deeply by interacting with people and communities with whom the institution is working.
